Help & Advice > Our Eco Promise
We recognise that one of the huge responsibilities of running our business is managing the impact we have on the environment and we take it extremely seriously. Our eco promise is our commitment as a business to reducing our impact, and the impact of our industry, on the environment so you can be safe and proud in the knowledge that your packaging and eCommerce supplies are manufactured, priced, and delivered in the most eco-friendly way possible.
‘The future will either be green or not at all.’
Eco Friendly First
Our products and services are essential to the day to day running of eCommerce companies, so it’s up to us to make considered choices regarding the products we choose to offer. We carefully consider the eco-credentials of our suppliers, manufactures, and courier partners to reduce the impact that our business has on the environment.
We use sustainably sourced materials in all of our labels and paper based products, have chosen a carbon neutral manufacturer of our Bubble Lined Bags and Paper Mailing Bags, and are introducing our own ranges of eco-friendly, plastic free packaging. We’ve also chosen DPD as our main courier partner who operate zero carbon deliveries for all of our consignments.
Offer Eco-Friendly Alternatives
One of the best ways to reduce the environmental impact of the packaging and eCommerce industries is to make it as easy as possible for anyone and everyone to find and buy eco-friendly packaging. We do this by clearly showing the eco credentials of all of our products throughout our website, and have eco filters on every category so it’s super simple to find eco-friendly products.
All of our consumable products have an Eco Score of at least 1 out of 5, so you can be confident that all of your supplies are a sustainable solution. We’ve compiled our top tips for how to find eco friendly packaging so it’s easier for you to identify and purchase greener products.
Lead By Example
We want to lead by example in how we run our business; we recycle all of our plastic waste from our offices and warehouses and re-use all cardboard waste by shredding and using it as void fill for our own despatches.
As well as this, we use LED lighting with motion sensors throughout the building, have solar panels to power our heating, installed bike racks to encourage staff to cycle to work, and all of our appliances have timer plugs which are set to office hours only.
We are also undergoing a full carbon emissions audit, with a view of being Carbon Neutral by 2021.
Reduce Deliveries, Increase Savings
With so many cars, vans, and lorries on the road already and the number set to continue growing, the delivery network has a colossal carbon footprint attached to it. We offer mix and match bulk savings on every product in your order – the more you buy with us, the more you save with us. This incentivises larger, less frequent orders, meaning less deliveries, less vans on the road, a significantly lower carbon footprint, and greater savings on our products – win win!
Share The Knowledge
We know that by sharing the knowledge gleaned through the steps we’ve taken to reduce our environmental impact with all of our customers, we can help to make a real difference to the impact of eCommerce as a whole. There’s an Eco Advice section in our Help & Advice Centre where we regularly share the latest news, emergent materials, and tips for how to run your business in a more-eco-friendly way.
By choosing us as your supplier, you’re playing a significant part in helping us to create a sustainable, green future. We look forward to working with you, and our excellent customer service team are on hand to help if you have any questions or queries.
