Bubble Wrap Bags
Bubble wrap bags — also called bubble bags or bubble pouches — are pre-formed bubble wrap sleeves that make wrapping smaller fragile items faster and more consistent than cutting from a roll. Items slip in, seal up, and are ready to pack into a box or mailing bag — no cutting, no measuring, no loose ends. Particularly useful for jewellery, small electronics, glassware, cosmetics, and any small fragile component that needs reliable all-round cushioning.
All bubble wrap bags in our range use small bubble wrap for maximum surface contact and protection on smaller items, and are recyclable via LDPE soft plastic collection points.
Bubble wrap bags vs bubble wrap rolls
Bubble wrap bags are more efficient than rolls for regularly shaped smaller items — the pre-formed pouch format is faster to use on a packing line and gives a more consistent result. For larger, irregularly shaped, or bulky items, bubble wrap rolls give you the flexibility to wrap to the shape of the product. For high-volume operations where speed is the priority, air cushion machines inflate film cushions on demand — a more efficient format at scale.
Do bubble wrap bags need an outer?
We'd always recommend using an outer over a bubble wrap bag alone. Bubble wrap provides excellent cushioning but offers no structural rigidity — a box or strong envelope contains the item, adds a further layer of impact protection, and conceals the contents from view during transit. A padded envelope or postal box over a bubble wrap bag gives you both cushioning and containment. For higher-volume ecommerce operations, bubble lined bags combine both functions in a single product.
Do I need anti-static bubble wrap bags?
If you're packing any electronic components, circuit boards, or devices, standard bubble wrap can cause static build-up that damages sensitive electronics — even when the item looks undamaged on arrival. Anti-static bubble wrap bags offer the same cushioning and protection as standard bags but are manufactured to dissipate static safely. If electronics are part of your product mix, anti-static is worth the small additional cost.
