"Jiffy bag" is a genericised brand name — Jiffy was the original manufacturer. Today the term is widely used for any bubble-lined or paper-cushioned padded envelope, regardless of who made it.
Can jiffy bags go in the paper recycling?
Traditional bubble-lined jiffy bags generally can't, because the polythene lining can't be separated from the paper outer at most household recycling facilities. Jiffy Green and other fully paper-based padded envelopes can.
What size padded envelope should I order?
