Back in November 2020, we created Charity Rewards; a simple way to allow our customers to contribute to meaningful causes with every purchase they make with us.
You don’t need us to remind you that a lot has happened since then, and it’s safe to say it’s been a tumultuous time for all of us. Millions of individuals and businesses have been hugely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and now more than ever we realise and appreciate the importance of using our business as a vehicle for good and to help others.

So, to bring you some much needed good news; we’re extremely proud to announce that, with thanks to our customers, we have raised over £3,500 for our charity partners Cancer Research UK, Save the Children, 1% for the Planet, and Heart of Kent Hospice. We couldn’t have done this without our customers, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person and business who has elected to donate their reward points to one of these very worthy causes. These donations have truly been a lifeline to our charity partners who are immensely grateful for your support.
The charity sector has been hit particularly hard by the knock-on-effects of COVID-19; with hundreds of thousands of people around the world relying on their support every single day, and the charities have been unable to generate enough of what they need most: funds. A combination of cancelled fundraising events and 40% of UK households reporting to be receiving a reduced income has resulted in a dramatic decrease in the services which charities have been able to offer. For instance, to Cancer Research UK, this has caused a £44million cut to their research already in 2020/2021 due to the reduction in donations received.
